How to Promote International Level of Schooling If I were Major

International level of schooling has become main idea of schooling in our country. It can be proved from the increasing of amount of International Based School which we called SBI and also schools which are close to the international level of schooling which we called RSBI. The purpose of government to label those schools with those names is increasing the level and quality of educational system in Indonesia. The increasing of quality of educational system in Indonesia will bring the enhancement of quality of the country itself.

Although there are still some issues that some people have not afforded like how high tuition fee, the balance with what you pay and what your children get, the international level of schooling is effort that we have to appreciate it. World is holding a competition. Competition in how good a nation can build quality of nation in several areas like technology, art, economic, and also education. International level of educational system in our country is something that has to be priority because if not, we will lose step with other countries. International level of educational system will bring the changing of schooling. The quality of schooling becomes international which of course needed the increasing of quality of its aspects like headmaster, teachers, supervisors, and so on.

What if I were a major of a city? What can I do to promote the international level of schooling in my city? What is my contribution in enhancement of my city’s educational system? We know that major is someone who is not directly work in the field of education especially school, but his/her existence can affect the whole life of educational system of the city itself. Although the central government has made rules and criterions that have to be applied in practical of schooling, major as the top leader of city is someone who has responsibility to make sure those rules is applied or not. Major is also someone who can be so creative and active to make increasing the level of schooling in city with major’s rule. Major is allowed to make any changing of educational quality in the city because major holds access of many aspects which can support educational area such as funds, any kinds of permissions access of many government and private instances, and also society of the city.

Usually, the education issue is something that is so important that any people who want to be major will attach it on their campaign so they can achieve trust and attention from society and can be elected as major. Generally, the main issue is about fund. How much rupiahs is afforded for education areas in city. For me, as a major of a developing city, I will obey Undang-Undang Dasar and make the rules of at least 20 percents of local budget is for education comes true for my city. We know that to make the level of schooling becomes international, needs a lot of money. City government which is led by me, will support the existence of SBI and RSBI which practice the international level of schooling in their daily teaching and learning. I will also give my full attention to the aspects of education, like the system, assets and everything that support and enhance the international level of schooling. Like Yogyakarta who has Peraturan Daerah No. 5 tahun 2008 who arrange the management of educational system of the city, I will make sure that my city also has rules that manage increasing of quality of educational level of schools in my city. Not only for SBI and RSBI schools, but also for all schools that located in my city. SBI and RSBI schools get my special attention because they are representative from my city that my city can compete with any other city in this world in giving knowledge to students and growing the next generations of the city.

I will give my attention and praise for every headmasters who have worked so hard to make his/her school becomes better, better and better in managing international level of schooling. I will also give my attention and thanks for all of the teachers who have worked very hard to grow my city’s seed of next generations so they can get the international level experience of studying and learning. I will give my attention to my youth generations, who study very hard and learn so well. Also for their parents who support their children and their children’s school.  I will also give my attention to all people, all aspects who build, support and enhance the international level of schooling. I will make sure that the people that work on international level of schooling in my city also have international level in themselves. Forget about the commercial effects, I don’t care whether my effort is praised high and can make my name and image fly so high in society. I will concern about the improvement of quality of educational system of my city. That is how I promote international level of schooling if I were a major.
